A Christmas present for my friend Mandi...on one of Mandi's visits to NY to visit her boyfriend Jim. (A Louisiana native, Mandi loves to walk around New York barefoot...a fact which causes us New Yorkers a lot of paranoia!)
India ink and colored waterproof Higgins inks on Bristol, with some Prismacolor pencil.
Well...actually, the sun sterilizes sidewalks like nobody's business...but then again the buildings are awfully tall in NY, and may prevent the sun from reaching places. Did you try telling her about the broken bottles, and the nails, and the shrapnel, and fact you need to be able to run if somebody decides to mug you? Lol! In LA, you have to worry about the fact the cement gets freakin hot too. Yeah, I love barefoot, but not around the city. Crazy girl.

Yeah, the sun doesn't hit the sidewalk here very often. I live in Brooklyn, where the buildings aren't tall, and even here I spotted a broken hypodermic needle on the ground! :0
Geez...yeah...I wouldn't want to walk barefoot around the major parts of any city. Around my suburban neighborhood? Sure! Downtown? No way man! At least it sure gives her personality lol! So I guess that's all that matters.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
